Garden Linux Consulting

Garden Linux is a special Debian derivative, optimized for operation in Kubernetes clusters. Unlike other distributions, Garden Linux is not subject to any restrictions and can be used with native Kubernetes.

Furthermore, Garden Linux is optimized for a small footprint, reducing attack vectors and increasing its own security and stability. Unlike most commercial distributions, Garden Linux uses the latest LTS Linux kernel.
Independence from individual manufacturers is thus maintained and the rapid rollout of new kernel versions and features can be guaranteed.

Motivation

After the acquisition of CoreOS by Red Hat, support for CoreOS was discontinued in 2020 and its successor is focused exclusively on OpenShift.

With Garden Linux we create the possibility to continue to offer an independent alternative.

Garden Linux supports installations on bare metal, in virtual environments and also on all common hyperscalers and public cloud providers.

It consequently follows the paradigm of “Immutable Infrastructure”. In case of changes, the complete system is rolled out again fully automatically.

Critical security patches are directly available (even those under embargo) or can be implemented quickly.

The innovative power and agility of Garden Linux makes it possible to keep pace with the speed of development in the cloud business. And this is why we at CLYSO have a large focus on Garden Linux!
